A Road Trip for Inspiration
Over a recent long weekend, we set out on a small road trip in search of inspiration. Our destination was the Midlands Meander in KwaZulu-Natal , a region once known for its creative spaces, craft workshops, and artists working alongside the road. My sister remembered it well from years ago, a place where you could step into a workshop, speak to the maker, and see craftsmanship come to life. So off we went, hoping to reconnect with some of that spirit. Scrap presented as Art.

When Spaces Invite Generations to Meet
Over the coming weeks, we’re planning a short road trip to take photographs that help make the Activity Village concept more tangible. Not because we are reinventing the wheel, but because we are learning to see what already exists differently . Activity Village is not about building something entirely new from scratch. It is about connecting the dots between people, places, and purpose and recognising where this concept could naturally take root. A shared table, different ge

Making Activity Village Visible
In our previous posts, we explored why activity villages matter and why rethinking how we age is part of embracing the full human life cycle. With this post, we want to make the idea a little more tangible . What follows is not a blueprint, nor the only way this concept could take shape. It is simply one possible interpretation , a visual way of understanding how an Activity Village might be laid out, if the land or property lends itself to it. Because, while this concept is
